The Finished Work

Ezekiel 47:14 You are to divide it equally among them. Because I swore with uplifted hand to give it to your forefathers, this land will become your inheritance.

Scriptures often remind me of the faithfulness of God. I am drawn again and again to stories where God remains faithful to His people, even when they are not faithful to Him. There is so much to be said for holding strong in your faith and staying the course, even when the road is rough.  God is faithful to His word and He is unchanging.  We can go to God in difficult times because we know exactly what we will find at the foot of the cross; mercy, love and grace. Sometimes the only place I can go is the foot of the cross, and there I am always reminded of who God is and who I am in Him. The finished work of the cross is not only about the sin of the world being atoned, but it is also about the resurrection life we live in Christ. There is hope as we walk the road and we are not alone, even when we are lonely.  God is with us through it all, and He has won the victory for us.  He is faithful to  His word. On this we can rely.
